The Acrovyn Roll-on Adhesive is available in 1-gallon and 4-gallon pails.
Installation will require a paint tray, roller, brush, and masking tape. It is also recommended that a pressure roller be included with the order. This tool ensures a strong bond between the wall surface and the wall covering.
One gallon of Acrovyn Roll-on Adhesive will cover 375 sq.ft.
Yes. The textured roller must be used to ensure the correct coverage rate of 375 sq. ft./gal. This ensures the installation matches the configuration tested in accordance with ASTM E84 for Class A/1 fire performance.

For quoted orders, CS will provide the appropriate Textured Roller Covers to ensure proper adhesive coverage.

For e-commerce orders, you will need to order the Textured Roller Covers when you place the adhesive order.

Because the roll-on adhesive has greater coverage than the trowel-on adhesive, the roll-on cost is lower per square foot.
When the roll-on adhesive is compared to the trowel-on adhesive, there is an approximate 40%-time savings.
The roll-on adhesive paired with Acrovyn wallcovering is tested in accordance with ASTM E-84 for Class A/1 fire performance.

In Canada, fire ratings are tested in accordance with CAN/UL S102.2, and achieved a Flame Spread Rating of 120 and a Smoke Developed Rating of 235.
No. The standard adhesive will remain the Acrovyn Trowel-On Adhesive, unless the Acrovyn Roll-on Adhesive is specifically requested.  The roll-on adhesive and textured roller will be quoted as accessories to the wall covering.
Yes and No. The Acrovyn Primer will be quoted as an accessory when quoting roll-on adhesive.  No primer or adhesive will have to be selected when quoting the wall covering in this scenario. CS intends to offer roll-on, trowel-on, and spray-on adhesives, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your needs.
The roll-on adhesive is applied using the CS textured roller.  This roller must be used to maintain the appropriate coverage.  Once the adhesive has tacked up on the wall, the sheet can be pressed to the wall and rolled with the recommended pressure roller.
Yes, masking tape should be applied to the wall in bordering areas to where the wall covering will be applied.  It is critical that the adhesive be applied right up to where the edge of the wall covering will be installed to ensure the edges are adhered to the wall.
Yes.  This depends on temperature and humidity, but generally the required cure time is 15-20 minutes.  This time can be reduced by using a fan to speed the curing process.  The adhesive will become increasingly tacky and turn from white to clear while it cures.
Slightly. The maneuverability of the wall covering when using the roll-on adhesive is very limited.  This is a pressure-sensitive adhesive, so when installing the sheet for the first time, apply very limited pressure to reduce the bond to the wall.  This will allow for limited maneuverability.  After pressure is applied, there is no maneuverability.
Yes, the water-based adhesive can be washed off and used again.  Alternatively, the roller can be sealed in an airtight bag or container and reused the following day.
Yes, the PVA-free Acrovyn Primer should be used with the roll-on adhesive.  If a primer other than the Acrovyn Primer is used, it must be PVA-free.
Apply roll-on adhesive with a paint brush at inside corners and along wall-ceiling joints.  Ensure the entire wall surface is covered where the sheet will be placed.
To apply the sheet, start with one vertical edge and work your way across to the opposite edge.  This approach ensures that the middle of the sheet makes proper contact with the wall.  When placing two sheets next to each other, begin with the butting edge first, then move away from the initial sheet.
Avoid applying pressure or apply very light pressure to the wall covering within 6 inches (152.4 mm) of the edge.  This space is needed for placing trims.  The sheet can be repositioned slightly before any pressure is applied, but this ability becomes limited once pressure is applied.
Yes. An extension pressure roller is essential for pressing the sheet firmly onto the Acrovyn Roll-on Adhesive.  This ensures a strong bond between the wall surface and the wall covering.  If insufficient pressure is applied, the bond may be weak, potentially leading to delamination and bubbling of the wall covering over time.  This is true for all Acrovyn Adhesive options.
