Construction Specialties (CS), a leading manufacturer of specialty building products, received a 2017 Nightingale Award at the Healthcare Design Expo & Conference for its 13 new Acrovyn by Design® decorative patterns and six new Chameleon™ simulated patterns.

The Nightingale Awards, presented by Contract and Healthcare Design magazines in partnership with the Center for Health Design, recognize new products that contribute to the healthcare environment through product design and innovation. The Acrovyn by Design patterns collection earned the Gold Award in the Architectural Products: Clinical category.

Inspired by Florence Nightingale, a pioneer of modern nursing, the award was initiated in 1990 to identify products that provide an outstanding contribution to creating a healing environment. The 12-member jury panel of seasoned healthcare design professionals and healthcare facility managers makes selections based on functionality, quality and durability, aesthetics and style, pricing and innovation. To evaluate the entries, jurors visit the exhibitors’ booths before the show floor opens at the Healthcare Design Expo & Conference to examine the products in person and ask questions of the manufacturers as well.

The new Acrovyn by Design patterns collection was created with and for designers, significantly increasing the aesthetic options available within the Acrovyn Wall Protection portfolio.
