The 80 year old Pasadena City Hall is one of the most distinctive public buildings in the United States. For the 2003 seismic upgrade of the building ARG architects specified 33" SSRW Seismic Stone Paver Floor Covers to fill the moat area surrounding the building’s perimeter in its inner courtyard. The covers provide full four way movement and are designed to work in conjunction with the base isolators when a seismic event occurs. The building is LEED Certified and the design team used sustainable strategies throughout the project. Even the C/S expansion joint covers in the patio area are hidden beneath a 4" layer of decomposed granite.
