Pittsburgh's $370 million David L. Lawrence Convention Center is located on the south bank of the Allegheny River. When built, it was the largest U.S. building to receive a GOLD Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED®) designation from the U.S. Green Building Council. It is the only convention center in the world with LEED® certifications of GOLD in new construction and PLATINUM in existing building. The 1.5 million ft2 center incorporates C/S Storm Resistant RS-7305 Louvers to stop wind-driven rain from entering the building. The 7" deep fixed horizontal louvers are designed to allow free flowing air to circulate the convention center.
