The Simon Center for Geometry and Physics is a mathematics and physical science research facility located at Stony Brook University. When designing this building, Perkins Eastman took into consideration the designs of the most innovative research facilities and companies. This design also hoped to achieve a LEED Gold certification. This in mind, C/S’ GridLine stainless steel grids were specified for the main entranceway. Contributing to, LEED IEQ Credit 5 and LEED MR Credit 4, C/S’ GridLine architectural grids stop dirt at the door by effectively scraping debris while helping to achieve LEED credits.
